It was nice that Rodney French took Clarence and I out for lunch. Clarence is still a mentor to me and giving sounds advice for many years. Clarence was my 1st year welding instructor (1884) and our Training Coordinator for many years, he served as coordinator longer than any other in Columbus Ohio.
I was proud to stand with Joshua Romine today at the C-TEC signing day. Joshua is a Pre Apprentice at Wolf Metals and has made a commitment to be a Sheet Metal Apprentice. Glad to have you in the program Joshua!

The Trustees had a great time celebrating with the new Journeyman and Journeywomen tonight. Patrick Reardon from Apprenticeship Ohio talked to new graduates about a lifetime of education and Business Manager Rodney French spoke from the heart thanking the instructors for the many hours of work to get apprentices ready to be Journey Men and Women. Training Coordinator Gartner ask each and every person to be a mentor to the next generation paying what they received forward to the new apprentices.
OHIO STATE APPRENTICESHIP COUNCIL (OSAC) MEETING was held right here at the Sheet Metal Workers For A Second Time today, Glad to have OSAC at the Sheet Metal Workers!
Over 30 applicants interviewed today, many will be in this years classes.
These pictures are when we are getting ready and just about to start. This was a successful job fair and we stayed busy the entire time talking to possible applicants. Lots of people and lots of interest, I sure hope to see some of these faces at the Sheet Metal office to become registered apprentices.
A big thank you to Vanessa form Turner construction for putting this event together. It's really exciting to recognize these young people for choosing to learn a skilled trade.

We stopped by to Limbach's shop today for a signing day commitment to work for Limbach through the CSMWA Pre-Apprenticeship. Natalie took a few minutes to show us her welding skills that she has been learning from our partners at Eastland Career Center.
